“Finally, I am writing a letter to the Prime Minister himself. I am also writing a letter to the Chief Justice of India. I am explaining to him how Chandrababu Naidu has distorted the facts and why action should be taken against him for doing so,” Reddy was quoted as saying by news agency ANI. Naidu had alleged that animal fat was used in making Tirupati laddus during the previous government.
Former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Friday said he will write to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud against the allegations of current Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu. Naidu has said that animal fat was used in preparing laddus at Tirupati temple during the YSRCP leader’s reign. According to news agency ANI, Reddy was quoted as saying, “Ultimately, I am writing a letter to the Prime Minister himself. I am also writing a letter to the Chief Justice of India. I am explaining to him how Chandrababu Naidu has distorted the facts and why action should be taken against him for doing so.” Naidu had alleged that animal fat was used in making Tirupati laddus during the previous government.
Andhra Pradesh minister Nara Lokesh shared a video clip in which Naidu is seen saying that earlier animal fat was used in ‘Tirupati Prasadam’ instead of ‘ghee’ at the Sri Venkateswara temple in Tirupati. We have received the lab report of the ghee used in making Tirupati laddus. Both the reports clearly state that a particular fat is not within the prescribed limit based on the S value and it is not milk fat, it is not ghee. It is a mixture of vegetable oils, and shockingly, it contains beef fat and pig fat.
In a post from its official account, the Andhra Pradesh Bharatiya Janata Party said that Chief Minister Naidu’s remarks on the laddu issue have hurt all Hindus. The party appealed to the state government to immediately investigate all the issues that hurt the sentiments of Hindus in the previous government. Union Minister Bandi Sanjay Kumar said that the alleged use of animal fat in making laddus is a deep betrayal of the faith and belief of Hindus who believe in Lord Venkateswara.
