The CBI has got the approval to conduct a polygraph test of former principal of RG Kar Hospital, Sandip Ghosh. Apart from Sandip Ghosh, the CBI had come to the court with 4 other trainee doctors who had last dinner with the deceased.And regarding former principal of RG Kar Medical Hospital, Sandeep GhoshDr. Akhtar Ali has made many shocking revelations.In the interview, it was said that Sandip Ghosh was involved in the business of dead bodies. He claimed that he used to sell unclaimed dead bodies.
Ghosh was involved in smuggling of biomedical waste and medical supplies to Bangladesh. He also said that he had informed the State Vigilance about Ghosh’s activities. He claimed that the investigation found him guilty. However, Ali was transferred the same day he submitted the investigation report to the state health department. He claimed that Sandip Ghosh would force students to pay bribes or deliberately make them fail in the exams.
Sandip Ghosh’s journey began in the small town of Bongaon in West Bengal. He completed his higher secondary education at Bongaon High School in 1989. Pursuing a career in medicine, Ghosh joined RG Kar Medical College, a prestigious institute in Kolkata, where he earned a medical degree in 1994. Ghosh’s early career in medicine saw steady progress. Initially, his career remained unremarkable as he progressed through various roles in the medical field. However, he rose to prominence when he was appointed as the Principal of RG Kar Medical College in 2021. This role was a significant leap, marking his return to the institution where he had completed his medical education.

Dr Ghosh himself found himself embroiled in controversy when corruption allegations surfaced in June 2023. Reports revealed that he was temporarily transferred to Murshidabad Medical College after allegations of financial misconduct and tender manipulation. Despite these serious allegations, Ghosh was reinstated to his previous position at RG Kar Medical College within a few days, raising questions over the quick decision. His return to his alma mater and subsequent tenure as principal at RG Kar Medical College have been marked by persistent controversy and suspicion.
