‘Lantern era will not return in Bihar’, Rajnath Singh said – Democracy cannot run without public respect

Hitting out at the Congress party, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh on Thursday said the party was “fooling” people in the name of religion-based reservation as there is “no provision for it” in the Constitution. He addressed two public meetings in Saran and Supaul constituencies of Bihar. Addressing a public meeting in Saran, Rajnath Singh said, ‘I want to ask the parties that promise religion-based reservation, why are you fooling the people? I want to tell Congress and RJD party that if you have courage then do not do politics by throwing dust in the eyes of the public, do politics by looking into the eyes of the public.

Attacking the Rashtriya Janata Dal, he asked the people, especially the young voters, to promise that they would not allow the return of the ‘lantern era’ in Bihar. He said, “Those who are accused of corruption are going to the public and asking for votes. Sometimes they bring ‘Charwaha era’, sometimes they bring ‘Lalten era’. Only the people of Bihar support NDA candidates. We can bring change by voting.” Campaigning for Rajiv Pratap Rudy, who is contesting from Saran parliamentary constituency, Singh said that Rudy is a trained pilot and he will blow everyone away. Accusing Congress and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), Singh said that despite being accused in corruption cases, both these parties are going among the people and asking for votes, there should be some public shame in them.

Citing the statement of Indian Overseas Congress President Sam Pitroda, he also attacked the Congress party on the issue of ‘inheritance tax’. The Defense Minister said that a leader present abroad said that when the Indian coalition government is formed, he would suggest implementing a tax in which 55 percent of the wealth earned by a person will be transferred to the government after his death. He said, “By imposing such rules does the India Alliance want to ruin the country. Why would anyone invest or keep savings. Many renowned economists have condemned this idea.”

The Defense Minister further said that former Prime Ministers; Jawaharlal Nehru, Indira Gandhi, Rajiv Gandhi and Manmohan Singh, all of them were committed to ending poverty but no one succeeded, he said, adding that Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led government was able to bring 25 crore people out of poverty. . During his public meeting in Supaul, Mr Singh said, “Congress-RJD have lost their credibility and it would be a dream for them to win any seat in Bihar. Those accused of corruption are claiming to develop Bihar. Have been.”
