Lucknow. Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) chief Mayawati has termed Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s resignation as a political maneuver. Mayawati said that Kejriwal’s decision is an election move away from public interest and public welfare. She said on Twitter, “Arvind Kejriwal’s resignation from the post of Delhi Chief Minister is actually an election move and political maneuver away from public interest/public welfare. What about the countless inconveniences and problems that the people of Delhi have faced due to his long stay in jail? Who will give an account of that?”
He said, “It is better if the political fight between the ruling party and the opposition is not bitter to the level of enmity so that the country and public interest are not affected by it. The BSP government of Uttar Pradesh also had to see such days when the Congress government at the Center also obstructed Jewar Airport and Ganga Expressway and obstructed public interest and development. Kejriwal had said on Sunday that he would resign from the post of Chief Minister after two days and demand early elections in Delhi. He had said that until the people give him a “certificate of honesty”, he will not sit on the Chief Minister’s chair.
