PATNA : Heat waves and scorching heat have made life difficult for people in Bihar. Due to the hot westerly wind, the temperature in most of the districts of the state has crossed 40 degrees. Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department has declared Patna as a hot weather zone and issued an alert regarding heat wave and advised people to take special precautions.

In fact, for the last few days, the temperature of the entire state has been increasing. The mercury has crossed 41 degrees in 11 districts of the state including the capital Patna. Regarding this, the Meteorological Department has declared Patna as a hot weather zone and issued an alert for 11 districts of the state. According to the Meteorological Department, the temperature is likely to increase by two to three degrees in the next 4 days.

There is also a possibility of hot winds blowing at a speed of 35 kilometers per hour at one or two places in the state. During the last 24 hours, many districts of the south-western part of the state are in the grip of severe heat wave.

The Meteorological Department has advised people to stay indoors between 12 noon and 3 pm and avoid exposure to hot winds. The Meteorological Department has said that to avoid the effects of hot wind, consume maximum amount of ORS, Lassi, lemon water, buttermilk etc.

Earlier on Friday, the Meteorological Department, based on the analysis of data received from radar and satellite, had predicted the possibility of heat wave in 13 districts on Saturday. At the same time, the days were said to be very hot in the districts of southern and western parts of the state. The Meteorological Department had issued a yellow alert regarding heat and heat. According to the Meteorological Department, the maximum temperature in 11 districts was estimated to be more than 40 degrees Celsius. In some districts of the state, there is a possibility of heat wave lasting till April 23.
