A bench of Acting Chief Justice Manmohan and Justice Tushar Rao Gedela said that no human being can understand your petition. It does not make any sense. The single judge was absolutely right that the petition contained baseless allegations.

The Delhi High Court on Wednesday dismissed Captain Deepak Kumar’s appeal aimed at overturning a single judge’s order which had dismissed his plea seeking disqualification of Prime Minister Narendra Modi from contesting Lok Sabha elections, terming it frivolous, imaginary and baseless. “No human being can understand your plea. It makes no sense. The single judge was absolutely right that the plea contained baseless allegations,” a bench of Acting Chief Justice Manmohan and Justice Tushar Rao Gedela said.

Kumar’s petition accused Modi of obstructing the investigation and calling for economic and social boycott against him. It also alleged that Modi and his associates posed a threat to Indian society and should be disqualified for giving false oath. Additionally, Kumar accused Modi of destroying evidence and influencing the sale of Air India Limited, which led to the cancellation of his pilot license, through fake service records. The petition also sought the disqualification of Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia.

The bench said that the petitioner definitely needs medical assistance and directed the in-charge of the concerned police station, sub-divisional magistrate and district magistrate to keep an eye on him in view of the provisions of the Medical Health Act. The petition filed by Captain Deepak Kumar alleged that Modi and his associates tried to destabilize national security by conspiring to cause the crash of the Air India flight of which he was the pilot in 2018. Kumar, while arguing before the court, alleged that Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia are involved in anti-national activities and should be expelled from the Lok Sabha.
