Mumbai North Lok Sabha Elections 2024: BJP’s Piyush Goyal will face Congress’s Bhushan Patil.

BJP has fielded Union Minister Piyush Goyal from this seat for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. He currently serves as a Rajya Sabha MP from Maharashtra. Goyal has held portfolios such as Minister of Textiles, Minister of Commerce and Industry and Minister of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution. Piyush Goyal is a chartered accountant and studied law from Mumbai University and did his schooling from Don Bosco High School, Matunga.

As Lok Sabha elections are approaching, states like Maharashtra are getting ready to contest the elections politically. The main contest in Mumbai North district of Maharashtra is between Piyush Goyal of Bharatiya Janata Party and Bhushan Patil of Congress. There are 48 Lok Sabha constituencies in the state. Earlier, the Election Commission of India (ECI) announced the election dates for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. Elections are to be held in Maharashtra in five phases. Counting of votes will take place on June 4.

Congress chose Bhushan Patil

Congress has recently declared Bhushan Patil as its candidate from this constituency. He is the vice president of Mumbai unit of Congress. Earlier, Patil had contested the Maharashtra Lok Sabha election from Borivali constituency in 2009. Patil has also served as treasurer of the party’s Mumbai unit. He has been working for the oldest party for the last 25 years.
