Naresh Mhaske, Shiv Sena candidate from Maharashtra’s Thane Lok Sabha seat, expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and state Chief Minister Eknath Shinde for choosing him as the candidate for this prestigious seat and paid tribute to late Anand Dighe. Mhaske, former mayor of Thane, Shinde’s political bastion, met Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray and sought his blessings. Speaking to the media, Mhaske expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Modi and Shiv Sena chief Shinde for making him the candidate from Thane Lok Sabha seat.

Shinde-led Shiv Sena, Ajit Pawar-led Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) and BJP are part of the ruling alliance ‘Mahayuti’ in the state. Mhaske will face Rajan Vichare, the sitting Shiv Sena (UBT) MP from Thane, whose candidature was announced long ago.
