Neeraj Chopra is determined to win the next Diamond League event after finishing second in the Doha leg. Chopra had finished second in his last attempt at the Doha Diamond League with a throw of 88.36 metres. He was only 2 centimeters behind gold medalist Jakub Wadlejsch at this stage.

Chopra had finished second in his last attempt at the Doha Diamond League with a throw of 88.36 metres. He was only 2 centimeters behind gold medalist Jakub Wadlejsch at this stage.

Chopra, competing in his first competition of the season, gave a personal best in his final attempt but was unable to defend his title. Two-time world champion Anderson Peters finished third with a throw of 86.62 metres. Chopra said, “The most important competition for me this year is the Paris Olympics but the Diamond League is also very important. This is my first competition of this season and I stood second by a difference of only 2 centimeters but next time I will try to perform better and win.

The next phase of the Diamond League, which includes the javelin throw event, will be held in Paris on July 7. Chopra also expressed his gratitude to the Indian fans in Qatar. He said, “It has been wonderful to receive support from the Indian people here in Qatar. I have no words to express my gratitude for their support. It is possible that Indian players may go even further in future. I am really proud to be an Indian.
