He said that he will present Nepal’s clear view on the protection of the ecosystem of the Himalayas and oceans along with the earth.

Nepal Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli said on Monday that he will draw the world’s attention to the issue of melting ice and rising sea levels during the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly. Informing the House of Representatives about his upcoming visit to the US to attend the UN General Assembly session, Oli said that he will present Nepal’s clear vision on the protection of mankind and the earth as well as the ecosystem of the Himalayas and the oceans at the ‘Summit of the Future’.
Oli will leave for the US on September 20. This will be his first foreign visit after assuming the post of Prime Minister. The ‘Summit of the Future’ will be held at the United Nations headquarters on September 22 and 23. Oli said, “I will not let the country’s prestige and dignity diminish during the visit.”
He said that he will inform the United Nations about Nepal’s policy that it does not interfere in the internal affairs of other countries as per the UN Charter and also does not allow other countries to interfere in its internal affairs. Oli said, “I will clearly put forth my views on Nepal’s constitution, democratic values, its identity as a sovereign independent nation, legitimate national interest and international commitments in the United Nations General Assembly.
