New survey shows Kamala’s amazing performance, she has taken lead over Trump, she is getting huge support from women

Democrat Kamala Harris leads Republican Donald Trump 45% to 41%. The Reuters/Ipsos poll shows Vice President Harris is sparking new enthusiasm among voters and intensifying the contest ahead of the Nov. 5 election. Her 4 percentage-point advantage among registered voters was far greater than the 1-point lead Harris had over the former president in a Reuters/Ipsos poll in late July. The new poll, which was conducted over eight days ending Wednesday and has a margin of error of 2 percentage points, also showed Harris gaining support among women and Hispanics.

Harris leads Trump by 49% to 36% — or 13 percentage points — among both women voters and Hispanic voters. In four Reuters/Ipsos surveys conducted in July, Harris had a 9-point lead among women and a 6-point lead among Hispanics. Trump leads by the same margin as in July among both white voters and men, though his lead among voters without a college degree narrowed from 14 points in July to 7 points in the latest survey. The findings reflect how the U.S. presidential race has shaken up over the summer. President Joe Biden, 81, kicked off his weakened campaign after a disastrous debate performance against Trump on July 21 sparked widespread calls from his fellow Democrats for him to abandon his reelection bid.

Harris has a lead against Trump in national polls and in key swing states. While national surveys, including Reuters/Ipsos, offer important indications on voters’ views, state-by-state results of the Electoral College determine the winner, with a handful of battleground states likely to be decisive. In the seven states where the 2020 election was the closest — Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, Georgia, Arizona, North Carolina, Michigan and Nevada — the poll showed Trump had a 45% to 43% lead over Harris among registered voters.
