Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Sunday suddenly wrote a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Through his letter, Nitish has made such a demand which is impossible to refuse by the Modi government. In the letter received by Modi, Nitish requested him to start Vande Bharat train between Ayodhya and Sitamarhi so that pilgrims can get better rail connectivity between the two holy cities. Let us tell you that the state government is developing a Hindu pilgrimage site, Punaura Dham Janaki Temple in Sitamarhi district, which is considered to be the birthplace of Goddess Sita.
Nitish wrote on Twitter that he has requested Prime Minister Narendra Modi through a letter to provide road and rail connectivity to Punaura Dham, the birthplace of Mother Sita, located in Sitamarhi district. He further said that in the letter, he has requested to complete the construction work of Ram-Janaki Marg from Ayodhya to Sitamarhi district by the Government of India soon and to give appropriate instructions to the concerned ministries for the operation of a Vande Bharat train between Ayodhya and Sitamarhi. This will greatly facilitate the devotees to visit Punaura Dham, the birthplace of Mother Sita, along with Ayodhya.

He said it was a matter of great satisfaction that the Central government had already started the construction work related to the development of “Ram-Janaki Marg” from Ayodhya to Sitamarhi. The Chief Minister said the concerned ministry should be directed to complete the project at the earliest so that pilgrims could get better road facilities between Ram Mandir in Ayodhya in Uttar Pradesh and Punaura Dham Janaki Mandir in Bihar. Punaura Dham in Sitamarhi district is visited by a large number of devotees.
Earlier, Nitish reviewed the redevelopment work at Punaura Dham in Sitamarhi district, the birthplace of Mother Sita, in his ‘Sankalp’ at Ane Marg. He directed to get the redevelopment work of Mata Janaki temple done in a grand manner at Punaura Dham. With direct connectivity between Punaura Dham and Ayodhya, darshan of both Lord Ram and Mata Janaki will be accessible to the devotees. NHAI officials have been instructed to expedite the construction of the proposed Ram Janaki Path so that direct connectivity can be established between Ayodhya and Sitamarhi.

It has also been asked to construct the ghats of the pond in the temple premises in a better manner. It has been asked to beautify the temple premises in a planned manner so that the devotees do not face any inconvenience. It has been asked to make the temple premises green and beautiful under the Jal-Jeevan-Hariyali Abhiyan.
