One tree in the name of mother, Cheer4India…. After 3 months PM Modi did Mann Ki Baat with the people, know what he said?

New Delhi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday termed the 2024 Lok Sabha elections as the world’s largest election and said that 65 crore people have exercised their franchise and reiterated their unwavering faith in the Constitution and the democratic systems of the country. Prime Minister Modi said this while sharing his views with the countrymen in the 111th episode of ‘Mann Ki Baat’, the monthly radio program of ‘Akashvani’. He said, “Today I also thank the countrymen for the fact that they have reiterated their unwavering faith in our Constitution and the democratic systems of the country. The election of the year 2024 was the largest election in the world. Such a large election has never been held in any country of the world, in which 65 crore people have cast their votes.

The Prime Minister congratulated the Election Commission and everyone involved in the polling process for successfully conducting the Lok Sabha elections. He mentioned the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ campaign launched this year on World Environment Day and said that the tree plantation drive under this campaign is progressing at a rapid pace. “Everyone is planting trees for their mothers, whether they are rich or poor, whether they are working women or housewives. This campaign has given an equal opportunity to express affection towards mothers,” he said. “The campaign of planting trees in the name of mother will not only honour our mothers but will also protect Mother Earth,” he said.

The Prime Minister congratulated the countrymen on ‘Hool Diwas’ celebrated on 30 June and said that the tribal brothers and sisters of the country celebrate it with great pomp. Remembering the great freedom fighters Sido-Kanhu, he said that their sacrifice still inspires the countrymen. He also played a recording of a part of a song in Santhali dedicated to these two freedom fighters.

During his address, the Prime Minister also mentioned the Paris Olympics and expressed hope that Indian players will perform excellently in it. He urged people to use the hashtag ‘Cheer4India’ to encourage the players. He said, “Through this hashtag we have to encourage our players… so maintain this momentum… this momentum of yours… will help in showing the magic of India to the world.”

This is the first episode of ‘Mann Ki Baat’ after Modi assumed the post of Prime Minister for the third consecutive time. The last episode of ‘Mann Ki Baat’ program was broadcast on 25 February. The broadcast of this program was postponed in view of the model code of conduct implemented after the announcement of Lok Sabha elections. The Prime Minister had said in its 110th edition that the next time he will meet people through this program, he will meet them with new energy and new information.
