Preeti won the medal in the women’s 100 meter event with a personal best time of 14.21 seconds. China’s Zhou Jia managed to win the gold while her compatriot Guo Qianqian won the silver medal. Zhou clocked 13.58 seconds. Guo took 13.74 seconds. Preeti’s bronze medal is India’s first medal in para athletics at the Paris Paralympics. Let us tell you that the T35 category in the Paralympic Games is for those para athletes who have coordination disorders such as hypertonia, ataxia and athetosis and cerebral palsy etc.
