PM Modi called upon the youth without political background to join politics for a ‘developed India’

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday said collective efforts will help young people without political background to enter politics. He said the kind of spirit people showed during the freedom struggle to achieve the goal of a ‘developed India’ needs to be shown again to achieve the goal of a ‘developed India’. In his monthly ‘Mann Ki Baat’ radio programme, Modi said his call for one lakh youths without any political background to join politics on Independence Day has received a massive response and some youths have said dynastic politics stifles new talent. “This year, I have called upon one lakh youths without any political background to join the political system from the Red Fort. My response to this is tremendous. This shows how large a number of our youths are ready to join politics,” he said.
The Prime Minister said that these youths are just looking for the right opportunity and the right guidance. Modi said, “I have also received letters from youths across the country on this subject. It is also getting a tremendous response on social media. People have sent me many kinds of suggestions. Some youths have written in their letters that this is really unimaginable for them. Due to not having a political legacy of their grandfather or parents, they were not able to enter politics even if they wanted to.” He said that some youths have written that they have good experience of working at the grassroots level and hence they can be helpful in solving the problems of the people. He said, “Some youths have also written that family politics suppresses new talents. Some youths said that such efforts will strengthen our democracy further. I thank everyone for sending suggestions on this subject.”
The Prime Minister expressed hope that with collective efforts, even those youths who have no political background will be able to come forward in politics. Modi said that the experience and dedication of the youth will be useful for the country. He said, “Even during the freedom struggle, many such people had emerged in every field of society who had no political background. They had devoted themselves for the freedom of India. Today we need the same spirit once again to achieve the goal of developed India. I will tell all my young friends to definitely join this campaign. ” He said, “This step of yours will change the future of yourself and the country. “

They have also given names to the gibbons.” He said, “Recently, the gibbons were facing difficulties due to the electricity wire passing nearby. In such a situation, the people of this village raised this issue with the government and soon a solution was found.” Giving another example of human-animal relationship, he said that in Arunachal Pradesh, young people have started using 3-D printing technology to save wild animals from being hunted for their horns and teeth.
