PM Modi’s plane has landed at Warsaw Frederic Chopin Airport in Poland. During his visit to Poland, PM Modi will meet and interact with the Indian community there. Before leaving for Warsaw, Modi said that I will also interact with members of the vibrant Indian community in Poland. PM Modi is the first Indian Prime Minister to visit Poland in 45 years. Morarji Desai was the last Indian Prime Minister to visit Poland in 1979. India and Poland are celebrating the 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations. Members of the Indian diaspora have gathered at the hotel where PM Modi will be staying during his Warsaw visit. They were seen raising slogans of Bharat Mata Ki Jai while waiting for the PM. Member of European Parliament Dariusz Janowski described the upcoming visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Poland as very important in terms of politics and business. He said the Indian Prime Minister is visiting Poland after 45 years.

The Ministry of External Affairs said that PM Modi will make an official visit to Poland and Ukraine from August 21-23. His visit will be the first visit by an Indian Prime Minister to Poland in 45 years. The visit comes at a time when New Delhi and Warsaw are celebrating the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations in 2024.
