PM Modi reached Moscow, welcomed by Russian Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov

Russia’s First Deputy Prime Minister Manturov will also travel with PM Modi in the same car from the airport to the hotel. PM Modi and the Russian President will meet today.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Moscow on Monday on a two-day visit where he will meet Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow and hold talks with him on several issues. He was welcomed by Russian Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov. This is PM Modi’s first visit to Russia in nearly five years. PM Modi, who took off from Delhi at 10.30 am today, reached Moscow’s Vnukovo-II International Airport at 5.10 pm. Russian First Deputy Prime Minister Manturov will also accompany PM Modi in the same car from the airport to the hotel. PM Modi and Russian President will meet today do.

PM Modi will attend a community event in Moscow on Tuesday.Ahead of PM Modi’s visit, the NRIs expressed their excitement to welcome PM Modi. Earlier, Savika, a member of the NRI group, said, “I am very excited. I have seen him (PM Modi) only on TV and this will be the first time I will see him in person and I am very happy that the Prime Minister is coming here.”

After Moscow, PM Modi will travel to Austria on July 9 and 10. This will be PM Modi’s first visit to Austria and the first visit by an Indian Prime Minister to the country in 41 years since Indira Gandhi in 1983.
