US President Joe Biden hosted the annual Quad summit in his hometown of Wilmington, Delaware, which was attended by PM Modi, Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida. In his address after the meeting, PM Modi said, ‘A free, open, inclusive and prosperous Indo-Pacific is our priority.’

Vietnam, Malaysia, Philippines, Brunei and Taiwan also claim it.
PM Modi said, ‘Our message is clear that the Quad will persist, assist, partner and complement. Together we have taken many positive and inclusive initiatives in areas such as health security, critical and emerging technologies, climate change, capacity building.’ The PM said that the leaders of the Quad have gathered at a time when the whole world is surrounded by tensions and conflicts. At such a time, the Quad working together with its democratic values ββis important for the entire human race.’ Let us tell you, after the Quad summit meeting, PM Modi also held bilateral meetings with US President Joe Biden and the Prime Ministers of Australia and Japan.
