PM Narendra Modi met the winners of T20 World Cup, Virat Kohli gave a special message for PM Modi

Virat Kohli along with the Indian team met Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday. The Indian team met Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Lok Kalyan Marg after receiving a rousing welcome from enthusiastic supporters and fans. The Indian team remained stranded in the Caribbean Islands due to Hurricane Beryl. The Indian team led by Rohit Sharma has returned home after being stuck in the storm. Air India’s special charter flight – Air India Champions 24 World Cup (AIC24WC) reached the national capital early in the morning.

Braving the inclement weather in the national capital, hundreds of Team India supporters waved national flags and held special placards to welcome the World Cup heroes outside the airport. While hosting Team India at his Delhi residence, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had memorable interactions with Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Hardik Pandya, Jasprit Bumrah and Rishabh Pant.

The former Indian captain shared a special message for Prime Minister Modi on Twitter popularly known as X. Kohli, who played a match-winning knock of 76 runs for India in the T20 World Cup final against South Africa, said, “It was a great honour to meet our honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji today. Thank you Sir for inviting us to the Prime Minister’s residence.” Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma and members of the World Cup-winning team wore Indian jerseys with “Champions” written on them during their meeting with Prime Minister Modi in Delhi.
