Posters showing Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis holding a gun have been put up at many places in Mumbai. These posters have been put up after the accused in the Badlapur sexual harassment case was killed in an encounter with the police. The hoardings read ‘Badla Pura’ and Fadnavis is shown holding a gun. There is no name of any organization on these hoardings. Now there is an uproar over this poster. Shiv Sena UBT led by Uddhav Thackeray has raised questions about this. On the hoardings put up at many places in Mumbai after the Badlapur encounter, UBT leader Anand Dubey said that hoardings have been put up at many places in Mumbai in which Devendra Fadnavis, who is the Deputy Chief Minister and Home Minister of Maharashtra, is holding a pistol in his hands and it is written in big letters, ‘Badla Pura’.

He said that if he (Devendra Fadnavis) has put up these hoardings himself then he should explain and if someone else has put them up then also clarify. If someone else has put them up in your place then why is no action being taken against him? Why are the hoardings not being removed? If you have put up these hoardings then have you become bigger than the High Court? The facts will have to come out. Its investigation is going on. Everything will come out but what kind of politics of taking credit is this?

Akshay Shinde was accused of sexually assaulting two minor girls at a school in Badlapur town of Thane district in Maharashtra. According to the police, Akshay Shinde was being taken from Taloja jail in Navi Mumbai to Badlapur in a police vehicle in connection with the investigation of the case related to the FIR lodged by his ex-wife. During this, he allegedly snatched the pistol of a policeman near Mumbra bypass in Thane, after which he died in the firing.
