Prime Minister Modi is fulfilling the dreams of Baba Saheb Ambedkar: Baby Rani Maurya

New Delhi. Continuing its attack on the Congress, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Thursday said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is fulfilling the dreams of Constitution maker Baba Saheb Bhimrao Ambedkar, while the opposition party’s intention is to destroy the Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST). And the reservation allotted for Other Backward Classes (OBC) is to be given to Muslims. The BJP has fielded Uttar Pradesh minister Baby Rani Maurya in a fresh attack on the Congress. Both parties are accusing each other of planning to change the Constitution.

Maurya said that Congress should give a written assurance that it will not give reservation on religious grounds and will not support the restoration of Article 370. Under Article 370, the erstwhile state of Jammu and Kashmir had special rights. The central government abolished it in 2019. Maurya told reporters that Modi has fulfilled the dreams of Ambedkar, considered the architect of the Constitution, by providing benefits like free ration, education and health to the most deprived sections of the society.

He said that Congress is insisting on increasing the reservation limit of 50 percent, hence it should make it clear who it intends to benefit from this. Citing her Dalit background and her increased stature in the BJP after becoming mayor of Agra, governor of Uttarakhand and now cabinet minister in Uttar Pradesh, Maurya underlined the ruling party’s support for empowerment of the community.

He said, “As long as the Bharatiya Janata Party is present here, no one can take away the rights of Dalits, backward and tribal communities. Congress has repeatedly insulted Ambedkar.” Maurya said, ”Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi and AICC National President Mallikarjun Kharge should give a written reply mentioning that they never supported reservation on the basis of religion. Will give. He has tried to implement religion-based reservation several times in Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka.
