Prime Minister Narendra Modi will go on a high-profile visit to the US on September 21. PM Modi will attend the Quad Leaders Summit held in Delaware. Modi will be joined by Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and his Japanese counterpart Fumio Kishida at the summit. It is being said that US President Joe Biden may talk about the growing tension between China and its neighbors in the South China Sea, expanded cooperation among member countries and the ongoing conflicts in Gaza and Ukraine. Global leaders are also expected to discuss health security, climate change, emerging technologies, infrastructure, connectivity, counter-terrorism and humanitarian aid.

PM Modi will also hold separate bilateral talks with the leaders of the three Quad countries. Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri said that we hope that many new initiatives will be announced. The Quad leaders will launch a new ambitious plan to prevent, detect, treat and reduce the impact of cancer on patients and their families. Misri said that the Quad summit will have a special focus on peace, progress and stability in the Indo-Pacific region. He said that all the leaders will discuss health security, climate change, emerging technologies, infrastructure, connectivity, counter-terrorism and humanitarian assistance.
