Indian team’s star spinner Ravichandran Ashwin wants to see more innovation i.e. change in T20 cricket. He wants that like football, 2-3 substitutions should be given in cricket and the size of the ground should be increased. He has expressed his desire to implement the impact player rule in international cricket like IPL.
Let us tell you that, with the help of the impact player rule, teams are allowed to use 12 players in IPL. Team India captain Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli have criticized this rule. Critics say that all-rounders do not get a chance due to the impact player. However, Ashwin likes this rule. He has spoken in favor of this rule earlier as well.
When Ashwin was asked about this rule, he said that T20 cricket can bring a little more innovation. Just like we have tried to bring impact players in IPL, we can do the same in international cricket. T20 is a sport created to entertain people and attract new audiences to watch the game. I am not so interested in T10 etc. But T20 can bring more innovation.
