Jaipur. Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma said on Sunday that the whole country, especially Rajasthan, is facing severe heat at this time and the state government is making every effort to provide relief to the people from the heat. Sharma went for a morning walk in Jaipur’s Central Park on Sunday morning and talked to the people. While talking to the people who came to visit the park, he said, “24-hour monitoring is being done to ensure the availability of electricity and water. To ensure that people do not face any kind of problem, the leaves of officers and employees of electricity, water supply and medical department have been cancelled.”

Sharma said that the state government has made strong arrangements for prevention and treatment of seasonal diseases and heat wave in the entire state. Apart from this, medicine and water have also been arranged for animals and cows. He suggested the people of the state to go out of the house only when it is necessary and to take special care of their food and drink. According to the Meteorological Department, Phalodi was recorded as the hottest place in the state with 50 degrees Celsius on Saturday. The effect of severe heat was felt in the entire Rajasthan and the night temperature on Saturday was also recorded between 25.5 degrees Celsius (Sikar) to 35 degrees Celsius (Barmer).

Director of Jaipur Centre of Meteorological Department, Radheshyam Sharma said that in the next 48 hours, maximum temperature is likely to increase by 1-2 degree Celsius in Bikaner, Jaipur, Bharatpur, Kota divisions. He said, “There is a strong possibility that the severe heat and hot night temperatures prevailing in the state will continue for the next three days.” He said that from May 29, maximum temperature is likely to fall by 2-3 degree Celsius in some parts of the state.
