Ram Mandir Replica: A glimpse of Ram Mandir will be seen in America, 18 feet high tableau is ready, 1.50 lakh people will attend

According to Amitabh Mittal, general secretary of Vishwa Hindu Parishad of America (VHPA), the replica of the temple will be 18 feet long, nine feet wide and eight feet high.

A replica of the Ram temple in Ayodhya will be displayed during the India Day parade in New York on August 18. The event attracts thousands of Indian Americans from in and around New York. This is the first time a replica of the Ram temple will be displayed in the United States. According to Amitabh Mittal, general secretary of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad of America (VHPA), the replica of the temple will be 18 feet long, nine feet wide and eight feet high.

In a historic moment on January 22 this year, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, led by a group of priests, performed the Vedic ritual of ‘Pran Pratishtha’ of Shri Ram Lalla at the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya. Representatives from all major spiritual and religious denominations of the country attended the ceremony held to commemorate the return of Lord Ram to his motherland after 500 years. The inauguration of the historic temple was applauded by Indians across the world, including the US.

India Day Parade in New York

Every August 15 since 1981, Indian Americans celebrate Indian Independence Day by hosting a parade. The annual India Day Parade in New York is the largest celebration of India’s Independence Day outside of India. Typically more than 150,000 people watch the annual parade which runs from East 38th Street to East 27th Street in Midtown New York. Organised by the Federation of Indian Associations (FIA), the parade will see several floats representing the diversity of different Indian American communities and culture take to the streets of New York.
