YEARS

Bittu said that he (Rahul Gandhi) should think before speaking…my concerns are not as a leader but as a Sikh.

On the letter written by Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge to the Prime Minister, Union Minister Ravneet Singh Bittu said that they (Congress) made him the Leader of Opposition, but still ‘Pappu (Rahul Gandhi) remained Pappu’… Instead of teaching other leaders, Mallikarjun Kharge should teach his ‘Pappu’ (Rahul Gandhi). Bittu said that he (Rahul Gandhi) should think before speaking… My concerns are not as a leader, but as a Sikh.

Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge wrote a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday and urged that legal action be taken against those leaders, including Union Minister Ravneet Bittu, who have made ‘objectionable and violent’ statements against the Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi. In a letter to the Prime Minister on his birthday, he congratulated him and mentioned the statements made by Bittu and some other leaders of the ruling party against Rahul Gandhi and said that these are dangerous for the future.

Kharge said in his letter that first of all I congratulate you on your birthday. Along with this, I want to draw your attention to such issues which are directly related to democracy and the Constitution. You will be aware that a series of extremely objectionable, violent and rude statements are being made against the Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi in the Lok Sabha. He said that the violence used by the leaders of the Bharatiya Janata Party and the allied parties is fatal for the future.
