‘Saving the Constitution is our goal’, Rahul Gandhi said in Prayagraj- BJP is avoiding caste census

Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha and Rae Bareli MP Rahul Gandhi is on a visit to Prayagraj today. During this, he attended the Samman Samvidhan aur Uski Raksha program. He claimed that our goal is to save the Constitution. In his address, Rahul Gandhi said that 90% of the people are not part of the system. They have the necessary skills, talent but they are not connected to the system. That is why we are demanding caste census. BJP leaders are saying that OBC category will be given after caste census.

Rahul said that we want a list of different communities. For us, caste census is not just a census, it is the basis of policy making. He also said that just conducting caste census is not enough, it is also important to understand how the money is being distributed… It is also important to find out what is the participation of OBCs, Dalits, workers in bureaucracy, judiciary, media? He said that a few days ago I went to Rae Bareli. There I saw a cobbler’s shop, so I sat there. I wanted to understand how they work.

The Congress leader claimed that during the conversation he told Rahul ji that in life only my father respected me and no one else respected me. After hearing this I was thinking that despite having so much talent, no one respected him. There are thousands of people in the country with whom this is happening every day. He also said that I took out the list of Miss India. There is not a single Dalit, tribal or minority woman in it. He said that the people of the country showed the power of the Constitution to Narendra Modi.
