After inaugurating the SFB Directors’ Conference organized by RBI in Bengaluru, Swaminathan said that governance arrangements will play an important role for the sustainable growth of SFBs. According to an official statement, Swaminathan called on directors to remain vigilant and proactive in identifying and mitigating emerging risks.
He also talked about sustainable business models. According to the statement, he stressed the need to strengthen cyber security to protect against digital threats. Swaminathan also suggested greater focus on financial inclusion, customer service and grievance redressal.
