Let us tell you that, according to a report of The Indian Express, Somdev Devvarman and Purav Raja have made allegations by making the central government their party. They say that the Sports Ministry never tried to find out whether AITA is complying with the Sports Code or not. They have accused the ministry of turning a blind eye. In a petition filed in the Delhi High Court on Monday, both the players have alleged that AITA has violated many provisions of the Sports Code.
At the same time, both the tennis legends say that there is no seat for athletes in the Central Council of AITA. Apart from this, there is no mechanism for athletes to select eminent players with outstanding qualifications to represent them in the Central Council. It has also been said that there is no reservation of seats for athletes in the Executive Committee and there is no system for athletes to be elected to the Executive Committee from the Central Council.
