WhatsApp is known for constantly working on making its app more user-friendly and personalized. But now, after this tool, the go-to messenger app is currently experimenting with a new feature that will allow users to make their avatars visible in their profiles, which is set to be released in a future update of the app.
WhatsApp’s new feature will come soon
According to WABetaInfo, in this yet-to-be-released feature, other people viewing your profile in chat will be able to see your personal avatar by swiping on your profile picture, adding an extra touch of personality and self-expression to your online presence.
This new feature will allow users to show their personality in chats by displaying their avatar along with their profile information. The move provides contacts a convenient way to view their avatar and profile details in one place. Like Instagram’s existing feature, this update will enable users to express themselves more visually and consistently on the platform.
In addition to the current update, an update is planned in the future to further improve the avatar feature, which will provide users with an even more personalized and customized experience. When this update is available, users will receive a notification to update, giving them access to new and improved avatar customization options.
After updating, the new avatar design will be automatically applied, but users will have the flexibility to make changes and edits at any time to ensure their avatar remains aligned with their personal style and preferences. The new feature that allows avatars to show up in the chat info screen is currently in development and will be rolled out in an upcoming update, enhancing the user experience and visual appeal of the platform.
Instagram like features are coming on WhatsApp
Just like Instagram, WhatsApp is also exploring and expanding ways to interact with other users. This feature will allow users to simply double-tap on a message to respond. The feature aims to make the response process significantly faster, making it even more convenient for users to express their emotions quickly.
The double-tap reactions feature streamlines communications by allowing users to quickly express themselves with the default heart emoji, saving time and enabling seamless engagement in conversations without interruptions or distractions.
Apart from the double-tap reactions feature, WhatsApp is working on another Instagram-like feature. This new feature called Reshare Status Updates is designed to simplify the process of sharing status updates where a user has been tagged. When someone is mentioned in a status update, this new feature will allow them to reshare that update with their contacts, ensuring wider dissemination of relevant content.
Once implemented, the feature will include a new button within the status update interface. This button will enable users to easily re-share status updates where they have been mentioned.
