The spectrum will be distributed for a full 20 years. Whichever company succeeds in bidding, it will have to make a payment in 20 annual installments in the mega auction. The total value of the frequencies that will be auctioned is Rs 96,317 crore.

Telecom companies will have to pay spectrum fees

Telecom department officials say that telecom companies will have to pay spectrum fees. Along with this fee, they will also have to pay GST. According to the official, telecom companies will have to pay 18 percent GST with every installment. According to the official, the GST Council can clarify the process of GST payment by companies bidding during spectrum auction in the upcoming meeting. According to officials, the confusion of officials about the method of GST collection in the auction process will also end.

These megahertz will be auctioned

In this auction, all the spectrum of 800 MHz, 900 MHz, 1800 MHz, 2100 MHz, 2300 MHz, 2500 MHz, 3300 MHz and 26 GHz bands will be auctioned.
