Spy cameras were installed in the bathroom and bedroom of the female tenant, many videos were made, landlord’s son arrested

A man has been arrested in the national capital for allegedly installing spy cameras to record a female tenant in her bathroom and bedroom. The 30-year-old man, identified as Karan, installed hidden spy cameras in the room of a female tenant to make videos of her in the bathroom and bedroom.

Deputy Commissioner of Police, East District, Delhi, Apurv Gupta said that during investigation, a spy camera was recovered from Karan’s possession, along with two laptops used to store the recorded videos. A case has been registered against Karan under Section 77 of BNS (Indian Justice Code) at PS Shakarpur and further investigation is underway, police said.
In her complaint, the woman said that she recently noticed some unusual activity on her WhatsApp account and after checking the devices connected to her WhatsApp account, she found an unknown laptop in the list. She quickly logged out. After this incident, the woman became alert and suspected that she was being spied upon.

He then started searching her apartment in search of any surveillance equipment, police said. The woman found a camera installed in the bulb holder of her bathroom and informed the police by making a PCR call, police said. When asked if anyone else used to come to her room, the woman told police that she often left the keys with Karan when she travelled.
