Sukhu invites investors to invest in Himachal in Kullu Dussehra Ambassador Conference

Shimla . Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu said his government is committed to promoting tourism across the state. Chairing a meeting of diplomats organized on the occasion of International Dussehra Festival in Kullu, Sukhu invited global investors to invest in Himachal Pradesh. According to the statement, the ambassadors of Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, Brunei as well as representatives of Russia and Guyana were also present at the meeting.
On this occasion, Sukhu invited investors to invest in tourism, green energy, data storage, food processing and other environment friendly sectors. He informed about various steps of the state government including the zoological park being built at Bankhandi at a cost of Rs 619 crore, construction of heliport in every district and declaring Kangra as the ‘tourism capital’ of Himachal Pradesh. The Chief Minister said that the International Kullu Dussehra Festival has evolved into a global event, blending cultural exchange with religious devotion and the people of Himachal Pradesh take pride in their hospitality based on the principle of ‘Atithi Devo Bhava’ .
Kullu Dussehra starts from Vijaya Dashami. This year the festivities began on October 13 or the 10th day of the lunar calendar. This week-long festival is unique because there is no Ramlila or burning of effigy of Ravana, Kumbhkaran or Meghnad. Rather, this last day ends with ‘Lanka Dahan’. The Chief Minister said, “This auspicious occasion brings together 332 local Gods and Goddesses of Kullu Valley in a rare and vibrant celebration of faith and tradition. It is truly a sight to behold, reflecting the soul of our community.
