Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan said that the Supreme Court never said that the Prasad of Tirupati temple was not adulterated. His comments come a day after the Supreme Court rapped Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu for making public allegations about Tirupati laddus. Kalyan stressed that his government will investigate the violations committed during the previous YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) regime. Referring to the hearing held in the Supreme Court, the Deputy Chief Minister said that the judges did not clearly say that the laddus were without adulteration. He highlighted some confusion regarding the date, which will be addressed.

A bench of Justices BR Gavai and KV Vishwanathan rapped the Chief Minister, saying there was no conclusive evidence to support the claim that the ghee used in the preparation of Prasadam Laddu was contaminated.
