In the country’s biggest sex scandal and Ajmer blackmail case, the court convicted 6 of the remaining 7 accused (Nafees Chishti, Naseem alias Tarzan, Salim Chishti, Iqbal Bhati, Sohil Ghani, Syed Zameer Hussain). Ajmer’s special court POCSO court number will pronounce the sentence at 2 pm. At the same time, Iqbal Bhati has been brought to Ajmer from Delhi by ambulance. The rest of the accused are already present in the court. The charge sheet was presented against these six accused on 23 June 2001. The hearing of the 6 accused was completed in the trial court in July this year. The verdict was to come on August 8 in Ajmer’s POCSO Court-2. One of the six accused could not appear in court due to poor health. The date of the verdict was given as August 20.

Don’t know how many girls were raped one after the other
In 1992, more than 100 college girls were gang-raped and their nude pictures were circulated. There were 18 accused in this case. 9 people have been convicted. One committed suicide. One was tried separately for child abuse and one is absconding, who has been declared a fugitive by the court. This incident is of the year 1992. The masterminds of this crime were Ajmer Youth Congress President (then) Farooq Chishti, Nafees Chishti (then Youth Congress Joint Secretary) and Anwar Chishti (then Youth Congress Vice President) and other accused were friends of a businessman’s son. She was raped and photographs were taken. After blackmailing, they brought his girlfriend to a poultry farm and raped her. A reel camera took their nude pictures. He was also forced to bring his friends to them. After this, he raped many girls one after the other and took nude pictures. After this, he started calling people to different places and blackmailing them.
6 girls committed suicide
The accused had given the reel for developing the photos. The lab staff was shocked after seeing the nude photos. The nude photos of the girls came into the market from the photo lab itself. Some people had the master prints, but their xerox copies started circulating in the city. Whoever got hold of these photos started blackmailing the girls. Due to this, 6 college girls committed suicide.
The first chargesheet had the names of 12 accused
The police have arrested Kailash Soni, Harish Tolani, Farooq Chishti, Ishrat Ali, Moizullah alias Putan Allahabadi, Parvez Ansari, Naseem alias Tarzan, Purushottam alias Babli, Mahesh Ludhani, Anwar Chishti, Shamsu alias Maradona and Chishti in this case. The first charge sheet was presented in Ajmer court on November 30, 1992.
Police’s mistake in filing separate chargesheets
The first chargesheet was against 8 accused and then 4 separate chargesheets were against 4 accused. Even after this, the police filed 4 more chargesheets against 6 other accused. This is where the police made the biggest mistake, so even after 32 years, justice has not been served in this case. After this, the police filed all these chargesheets under 173 CrPC. Because of this, every time a new chargesheet had to be filed after the arrest of new accused in the case. The already ongoing trial was stopped and a new trial was conducted. Therefore, the victims and witnesses also had to come to the court again and again for the same answer.
