Later, Durov had to leave VK and a person close to the Russian President got its control. After leaving VK, he created Telegram. It became a favorite of the people due to its privacy. In 2015, Durov faced an uncomfortable situation when it was revealed that the Paris terrorist attack was planned on Telegram, after which the government had to be given ‘backdoor’ access to Telegram.
