Among Sensex listed companies, shares of Kotak Mahindra Bank rose by more than four percent. Tata Consultancy Services, JSW Steel, IndusInd Bank, ICICI Bank, Wipro and Axis Bank among others surged.

Mumbai There was a rise in early trading in domestic markets on Monday. BSE’s 30-share index Sensex rose 328.54 points to 74,206.69 in early trade, while NSE Nifty rose 93.45 points to 22,569.30. Among Sensex listed companies, shares of Kotak Mahindra Bank rose by more than four percent. Tata Consultancy Services, JSW Steel, IndusInd Bank, ICICI Bank, Wipro and Axis Bank among others surged. Shares of Titan, State Bank of India, Power Grid and Larsen & Toubro suffered losses.

In Asian markets, Hong Kong’s Hang Seng and China’s Shanghai Composite were in profit. US markets closed on a positive note on Friday. Brent crude futures, the global oil benchmark, were trading 0.23 per cent higher at US$83.15 per barrel. According to stock market data, foreign institutional investors (FIIs) were sellers in the capital market on Friday and sold shares worth a net Rs 2,391.98 crore.
