Speaking at an election rally organized in support of BJP candidate Kirtivardhan Singh from Gonda parliamentary constituency, Shah said, this election is to make Narendra Modi the Prime Minister for the third time. He said, this election is an election to create three lakh lakhpati didis. Taking on former Congress president Rahul Gandhi and Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Akhilesh Yadav for not attending the Ram Mandir Pran Pratistha ceremony in Ayodhya despite invitation, Shah alleged that they did not attend the ceremony fearing their vote bank. But BJP is not afraid of vote bank. Shah accused opposition leaders of appeasement politics.

Praising the law and order under the government led by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Shah said, “Yogi ji has done the work of straightening the mafia by hanging it upside down.” He said that earlier there were factories making indigenous pistols here, now cannon balls are being made in the ‘Defence Corridor’, which will work to straighten Pakistan. Voting will be held in the fifth phase in Gonda on May 20.
