This time Ayodhya will be lit up with more than 25 lakh diyas during Deepotsav, Yogi government has already started preparations

Lucknow/Ayodhya. The Yogi government is going to set new standards of grandeur in the Deepotsav program to be held in Ayodhya on the occasion of Diwali. After the installation of Ramlala in the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi temple, this first Deepotsav will include various attractions including 7 mechanized tableaus, choreographed aerial green firecracker show. It is noteworthy that last year during Deepotsav in Ayodhya, a world record was created by lighting more than 21 lakh lamps on 51 ghats including Ram Ki Paidi. At the same time, this year the Yogi government is preparing to illuminate Ayodhya with 25 lakh lamps. Not only this, 500 places inside Ayodhya will be decorated through attractive signage boards and priority will also be given to setting up 20 artistic installations related to Lord Shri Ram. For this, the process of agency determination and work allocation has started by the Uttar Pradesh Tourism Department and it is believed that preparations for various types of programs for Deepotsav will start from the month of September.
Deepotsav will be celebrated in the presence of more than 7000 volunteers
The Government of Uttar Pradesh is proposing to organize a grand “Deepotsav 2024” event from 28 October to 31 October 2024. The Department of Tourism, Government of Uttar Pradesh, is working on an action plan to beautify the city of Ayodhya, light earthen diyas on the ghats of the Saryu river, decorate the river bank, organize various cultural performances and other festivities during the event with an aim to recreate the scenes of the sequence of events of the return of Lord Shri Ram to Ayodhya. In this regard, an agency will be appointed by the Tourism Department to design the area for the record of lighting of diyas (more than 25 lakh) at various locations of Ram Ki Paidi Ayodhya and carry out the evaluation process. Also, design the area for the record of the largest Aarti ceremony on the Saryu River in the presence of 1,100 Dharmacharyas/local eminent personalities/people of Ayodhya. Apart from this, training of volunteers will be conducted two days before the attempt to execute the Guinness Record on site, with around 7000+ volunteers (Avadh University students) involved in the entire process of executing the Guinness World Record.

Tableaus will become an attraction in the procession along with choreographed firecracker show
A grand procession will also be organized in the Deepotsav program in which 7 large mechanized tableaus including Ram Rath will also be showcased. All these tableaus will be related to various incidents of Lord Shri Ram and their construction will be inspired by Ororo (Bolivia), Basel (Switzerland), Salvador (Brazil), Baranquilla (Colombia), Dusseldorf (Germany) Grenadines. At the same time, the choreographed green aerial firecracker show will be conducted for a period of more than 10 minutes. At the same time, more than 500 major places of Ayodhya will be decorated with attractive signage boards. Apart from this, 20 artistic installations will also be installed in various areas of Ayodhya with a view to the Deepotsav program. It will be related to various incidents of Lord Shri Ram’s life, other characters of Ramayana, branding of Ayodhya and Deepotsav program.
