truth behind missing people hundreds of dismembered bodies baloch genocide in pakistan

Long ago, Pakistan’s revolutionary and anti-establishment poet Habib Jalib had written…

I know the joy of freedom struggle,

The extent of oppression on the Baloch is known,

Don’t wish me to live in Pakistan all my life,

I know the punishment of living these sixty years in Pakistan.

Since 1947, Pakistan’s largest province Balochistan is considered to be the most troubled area. It is said that after committing a theft, a thief leaves some clue, even if unknowingly. But Pakistan is a country whose army also commits theft in Balochistan. It also kills innocent people and leaves all the evidence. The biggest revelation has been made on another crime of Pakistan. This revelation has been made by Balochistan activist Mahrang Baloch. Making a big allegation, she has claimed that Pakistan is massacring Baloch citizens. Their bodies are being chopped into pieces and thrown away by Pakistan.

Baloch activist Mehrang Baloch has expressed deep concern over the mutilated bodies of forced disappearance victims recovered from various areas of Balochistan and called it shocking. He further claimed that people are forcibly disappeared by Pakistan. They are held for years and then killed and their mutilated bodies are thrown away. Many mutilated bodies of victims of forced disappearance have been recovered from various areas of Balochistan. This is extremely worrying. The state forcibly disappears individuals, holds them for months or years, then kills them and throws away their mutilated bodies. Mehrang said in a social post that this is nothing less than a Baloch genocide.

Earlier this week, Mehrang Baloch, organiser of Baloch Yakjehti Samiti, lauded the UN’s stand on enforced disappearances of Baloch members. She said, “Finally, the UN takes a stand for the disappeared in Pakistan. Urging Pakistan to ratify the Convention against Enforced Disappearances. The UN’s call on Pakistan to address enforced disappearances is an important step towards justice. We, the people of Balochistan, have waited too long for the world to see our plight. We are hoping for more substantial pressure to deal with the magnitude of the issue.”

The UN Committee on the Elimination of Racial Discrimination released its findings on Pakistan, and called on the nation to take necessary measures to investigate and prosecute reports of enforced disappearances, The Balochistan Post reported.
