Union Labour and Employment Minister Mansukh Mandaviya reviewed the performance of the Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation, Employees’ State Insurance Corporation and Deputy Chief Labour Commissioner (Central) of Telangana region. Mandaviya also evaluated the sessions organised by various regional offices of the region to seek views on the Employment Linked Incentive (ELI) scheme announced in the Union Budget. The Union minister reviewed the performance of Telangana region in various work areas and appreciated the concerted efforts of the regional offices in delivering services to consumers, an official statement said.
Mandaviya interacted with senior officials of the region and discussed various issues in the field of services provided to consumers. According to the statement, all the officials were advised to motivate the employees and officers of the region to make the ELI scheme a success and ensure that no fraudulent activities are carried out by unscrupulous elements. In Telangana region, 47.96 lakh scheme holders working in 36,018 establishments are covered under it and 4.54 lakh pensioners are receiving services.
