Udhampur District Election Officer Saloni Rai said that several innovative measures have been taken under SVEEP (Systematic Voter Education and Electoral Participation). We have tried to reach out to people from every section of the society. We have also deployed big balloons at two main locations in Udhampur, located at Tikri and Jakhani on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway in Udhampur.

Saloni Rai said that this is done so that all the passersby are attracted towards it and these balloons attract their attention. The message we want to send is that when Udhampur goes to polls on October 1, 2024, everyone should ensure to cast their vote.” Jammu and Kashmir will go to polls in the third phase of assembly elections on October 1.
