Bollywood actor Govinda had a major accident on Tuesday when he was shot in his leg. The actor was accidentally shot in the leg with his own revolver, after which the bullet was removed from his leg during treatment in the hospital. Govind Abhay is admitted to the hospital and is in ICU. However, his condition is now much better than before.

According to Govinda’s manager, Mumbai Police has met Govinda’s daughter Tina and recorded her statement. However, Govinda’s statement has not been recorded yet. Govinda’s statement will be recorded only after his health improves.
Police gave information
A crime branch team led by senior police inspector Daya Nayak visited the hospital on Tuesday and spoke to the actor about the incident, an official said. He told that Govinda was alone at his residence in the early hours of Tuesday at the time of the incident. He told that the actor has a licensed revolver of Webley Company and the bullet hit him near his left knee. The officer said that the revolver was old, not locked and it fired accidentally.
An official had earlier said that police officials have seized the actor’s revolver for investigation. Govinda, who has made a place in the hearts of the audience for his excellent comedy and dancing skills, issued a statement after the incident informing fans that he is feeling better now. One of the actors who ruled the film screens in the 1980s and 1990s, Govinda appeared in more than 165 Hindi films in a career spanning four decades. He had joined the Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena in March, a month before the Lok Sabha elections. He has returned to politics after almost two decades. He won the 2004 election contest from the Mumbai North Lok Sabha seat on a Congress ticket before distancing himself from politics in 2008.
