The first test match between India and Bangladesh will be played in Chennai from 19th September. But before that, Indian team’s star batsman Virat Kohli and head coach Gautam Gambhir were seen in a different avatar. Both of them took spicy interviews of each other by becoming journalists. During this, both the players also mentioned each other’s brilliant innings.
During this interview, Virat Kohli asked Gambhir some such questions on which Gambhir could not control his laughter and started laughing out loud. At the beginning of the interview, Kohli said that this is a spicy interview of both of us.
BCCI has shared this special interview video from its official X account. During this, both these legends told how their minds work on the cricket field. This is probably the first such video interview of Team India’s head coach Gautam Gambhir and Virat Kohli. Where they were seen asking questions to each other.
Let us tell you that, there was a sharp altercation between the two in IPL 2023 and before that in 2013. But after IPL 2024 and becoming the head coach of Team India, a great bonding is being seen between Kohli and Gambhir.
During this time, head coach Gambhir recalled Virat Kohli’s Australian tour, where King Kohli had scored a lot of runs. In that Australia tour of 2014-15, Virat Kohli scored 692 runs, which included four centuries.
Gambhir also talked about his innings against New Zealand in Napier, where he stayed put for two consecutive days, as a result of which India played a key role in drawing that match.
In that match, New Zealand scored a mammoth 619 runs in their first innings. In reply, India could score only 305 runs, after which New Zealand enforced a follow-on. Gambhir scored 137 runs off 436 balls in the second innings and played for 643 minutes over a period of two days. Later, after another draw in Wellington, India won the series 1-0. While talking to Kohli, Gambhir said that he does not think he will ever be able to do this again in his life.
