Sources suggest that Pakistan may express interest not only in renewing the corridor but also in expanding its scope to include Nankana Sahib, the birthplace of Guru Nanak Dev Ji, the founder of Sikhism. The initiative will allow pilgrims to visit both Nankana Sahib and Kartarpur Sahib, two of the holiest places in Sikhism. Additionally, Pakistan is reportedly considering a proposal to allow pilgrims to stay overnight at Kartarpur Sahib instead of the current requirement of returning to India by evening.
