Yamuna Authority will build a 75 meter interlink lane to increase access to the International Film City

Lucknow. CM Yogi’s dream project International Film City is taking shape. This film city to be built in Sector 21 of Noida under Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority area will be fully completed in 8 years, while in the first phase, facilities related to films and film institute will be ready here within three years. Rs 1510 crore will be spent on this entire project. On Thursday, the concession agreement was signed between Boney Kapoor and Ashish Bhutani’s company Bebeau Project LLP, which is building the film city, and YIDA. The concession agreement was signed between the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Authority Arunvir Singh and Boney Kapoor. During this, Additional Chief Executive Officer Shruti and Ashish Bhutani were also present.

Film facilities will be started in 1095 days

YIDA CEO Arunvir Singh said that the entire project of Film City will be completed in 8 years or 2920 days. At the same time, a target of 3 years or 1095 days has been set for film facilities and film institute. A total of Rs 1510 crore will be spent on this entire project. Rs 50 crore will be spent on the construction of Film City in the first two years and Rs 75 crore in the third year. At the same time, Rs 100 crore will be spent on it between the fourth and 8th year. He said that Rs 832.91 crore will be spent on filming components including studio backlots and open sets, while Rs 373.93 crore will be spent on hospitality, Rs 315.07 crore on service accommodation, Rs 109.60 crore on office and Rs 76.44 crore on infrastructure.

Film components will be built on 156 acres

Talking about the land, the film city will be built in a total area of ​​230 acres, in which filming facilities will be developed in 135 acres of area. The film institute will be built in 21 acres of area. In this way, filming components will be developed in a total of 156 acres. Commercial components will be set up in the remaining 75 acres. These include service accommodation in 57 acres, hospitality-dormitories in 2.37 acres, hospitality-upscale in 5.15 acres, hospitality upper upscale in 3.60 acres, F&B focused retail development in 5.15 acres and commercial office in 2.37 acres.

Promise of building a world class film city

During the signing ceremony, famous film producer Boney Kapoor said that our preparations for the film city have started even before its signing. Recently I went to London and LA and observed many studios there. I also took stock of what kind of new technology is being used in the new studios that have been built. This international film city being built in UP will be completely world class. At the same time, YIDA CEO Arunvir Singh said that to improve the connectivity of the film city, we are taking full care of its access. There will be movement of big vehicles to set up big sets in the film city, in view of this, Yamuna Authority has decided to build a 75 meter interlink lane. We have planned it, the entire expenditure will be borne by the authority itself. It is the nature of Yamuna Authority that it creates infrastructure for the convenience of its investors even if they do not ask for it.
