India has got its 8th medal on the fifth day of Paris Paralympics 2024. In fact, India’s para athlete Yogesh Kathunia has won the silver medal in the final of the Men’s Discus Throw F56 event. Yogesh has won this medal with a best throw of 42.22 during this time. This is India’s fourth medal in athletics.
27-year-old Yogesh threw 42.22 meters in his first attempt, which was his best attempt. Batista dos Santos Claudni of Brazil won the gold medal in this event. Batista achieved this feat with a best throw of 46.86. While Greece’s Tyonis Constantinos won the bronze medal with a best throw of 41.32 meters.
