With the help of brilliant innings from captain Sikandar Raza and Brian Bennett, Zimbabwe did not allow Bangladesh to clean sweep the five-match series by registering an 8-wicket win in the fifth and final T20 International cricket match here on Sunday. Bangladesh scored 157 runs for 6 wickets after being invited to bat first. Zimbabwe won by scoring 158 runs for 2 wickets in 18.3 overs. Bangladesh thus won the series 4-1. The highlight of Zimbabwe’s innings were the half-centuries of captain Raza and Bennett.

Raza scored unbeaten 72 runs on 46 balls which included 6 fours and four sixes. Bennett scored 70 runs in 49 balls with the help of five fours and as many sixes. Both of them made a partnership of 75 runs for the second wicket, due to which Zimbabwe was successful in winning with nine balls remaining. Earlier, Bangladesh did not have a good start and lost three wickets for 15 runs. The team reached a respectable score with the innings of Mahmudullah (54 runs off 44 balls) and captain Nazmul Hasan Shanto (36). Bennett also did wonders in bowling, taking two wickets for 20 runs.
