India had a great start in Paris Olympics 2024. Where first Indian women archery Ankita Bhakat, Deepika Kumari and Bhajan Kaur represented India in the ranking round. All three performed brilliantly and finished fourth. Due to which they have got direct entry into the quarterfinals.
On the other hand, the men’s archery team finished third in the ranking round. The team had 2013 points, due to this ranking India has secured a place in the quarter-finals. It has also ensured that they will not face the gold favourites Korea before the final.
In the women’s category, India’s Ankita Bhakat finished 11th with 66 points. This was her best performance of the season, she scored 30 perfect tens. Bhajan Kaur finished 22nd, she scored 659. Veteran player Deepika Kumari finished 23rd with a score of 658. All three players together scored 1983.

The trio of Tarundeep Rai, Dhiraj Bommadevara and Pravin Jadhav have done a superb job by finishing in 3rd place, with a total score of 2013!
