Let us tell you that Naveen Patnaik was born on 16 October 1946 in Cuttack. He belongs to Kayastha family. Naveen Patnaik’s father Biju Patnaik was also the CM of Odisha state. Patnaik completed his education from Welhem Boys School and then Doon School, Dehradun. Then he did Bachelor of Arts from Delhi University. Naveen Patnaik used to stay away from politics in his youth and he did not even live in Odisha.

When Biju Patnaik died in 1997, Naveen Patnaik returned to Odisha and worked to carry forward the political legacy inherited from his father. He founded Biju Janata Dal in the name of his father and never looked back.
